Lycia 2nd Birthday Cake!

Not forgetting Lycia Birthday Cake from Pine Garden again! hahah :)

This year we only order 1kg since only have celebration with family.
Mummy find the Mickey mouse pic from the internet and sent to PG to customise it.. they actually just print out the picture and laminate it but overall it turn out to be a sweet cake as well!

Lycia 2nd Birthday 06.08.09

Today is Lycia 2nd birthday.. she is 2 years old! Yipee...

Actually wanted to book a chalet to celebrate her 2nd birthday with family and close friend's but didn't managed to get one as too last min.
So we bought her to zoo again.. seems like is a yearly birthday event as well.. haha





Lycia was able to appeciate more this time round compare to last year.
She can appreciate the animal show and walk ard the zoo with us.
We bring her to the kids rainforest with waterplay and she was excited about it.. mummy and daddy take turns to bring her walk ard the big waterplay area and she was drenched all over.. luckily we have anticipate and had bring extra clothings for her.



We tried the boat cruise as well.. it was just a 15 mins short tour and there is only 3 of us in the boat.. when the assistant learnt that it was Lycia birthday, she and the captain even sang a bithday songs for her.. hahah what a lucky girl hor? :) managed to see a swamp of fish swim pass also.. there was a mummy fish with about 10-20 small fishes swimming pass our boat which according to the assistant is quite a common scene.

After we return onshore we decide to take the tram ride since it was quite warm and we are very tired from walking around also..

Lycia Photoshoot for her 2nd Birthday!

Hey it's the time of the year again for phototaking however mummy has decided that this will be the last year (hopefully) for this event!

Phototaking on her 2nd Birthday is actually for memory keeping as toddler's change every year and we wanted her to have some memory of her childhood when she grows up! :)

The studio was situated at Sembawang same location as the 1st birthday photoshooting but is not the same photographer lah.. as usual mummy search thru SMHF and found this ideal one which is near our place with reasonable charges.

we have make appointment with the photographer at 10am on the 2nd Aug for the photoshooting but Lycia didn't sleep well the night before therefore we had overslept and had to postpone the timing a little later. However, we still bring Lycia for her favourite Macdonald's bf first so she will be engergetic for the phototaking.. :)

As expected, Lycia is not able to sit still for the phototaking.. walking around and playing with the photographer pen but then it is much better than her 1st birthday.

Lycia Attending Playgroup

Mummy have been researching for Lycia pre-school since she is 18mths old.
We have went down to a few CC to recce but none can meet mummy criteria which is near, good and cheap! :)

Finally chance upon a tuition centre which has 2hr playgroup just one block away from our hse.. mummy was so happy as it is near and convenient so our dear Lycia and Mother-in-law no need to be under the rain or shine or cross the road.

The playgroup only accept toddlers from 2 years old onwards but Mrs Loh the Director of The Learning Petals Educare was kind enough to let Lycia go for a trial class then decide if she is suitable for it.

Lycia started her trial class on 22nd May, she is only 21mth old then. I find that the class was small so can cater to look out for her and the syallabus was not bad also the usual singing, dancing, learning ABC, doing art and craft etc.. the centre still provide some snacks for the kids so it was really good!

So Lycia finaly started her 1st school on the 17th June, she is only 22 mth plus then. The 2hrs play group starts from 10.30am-12.45pm.. so we have to let her have more breakfast before she goes to school as she normally have her lunch ard 11plus am when she is at home.

As expected Lycia cries in clas when she cannot see familiar face of me or MIL around. Teacher have to carry her but after 30mins - 1hr or so she will stop crying and participate a little.

Hopefully Lycia will be able to adapt to this schedule soon so mummy wouldnt see her cry for too long.. Gambateh Lycia.. you can do it!!!!!

Desaru Trip 5th-6th June 2009

We went for 2D/1N Desaru short trip one day after our 7th year anniversary.
Lycia was 22mth old on 6th June! :)

The trip was confirmed just one week ago after we managed to booked our Delux Sea View Hotel with The Pulai Desaru. The hotel although was quite old but the view was great.. from our balcony we can see the high or low tide of the not so clean beach and can hear the sea wave. :)

The plus point of the hotel is they have a kids room with all the little tikes slides and playhouse so our little princess Lycia can enoy herself there.. the pool was not bad also and we went for swimming twice with the new car float which we bought for her.. surprisingly Lycia enjoys her swim which she don't really like in S'pore leh.. any different???? Hahah

Lycia at Gymboree 8th May 2009

We brought Lycia to Habourfront Gymboree Open Gym and as expected she likes it a lot.. much better than any enrichment class we brought her to before.. I guess she is those active type and could not sit still in a class.. more on her own to play those gym equipment.. at least the money is spent worth while.. will bring her to more of this gym play in future.

Lycia on her Pony Ride

Mummy bought this Pony Ride for our little girl but she seldom like to sit on it.
Today manage to capture a shot of her riding on it.. look so cute!

Lycia at GUG Suntec 7th Mar 2009

We have signed Lycia up for weekend enrichment class at GUG Suntec wishing she could have some exposure and fun in the class.
However after a month she is still clinging to mummy and do not want to participate in class.. so I guess she is either not ready or the class doesn't suits her.. have to look for other alternative.

2008 X'mas at Genting Highland

This is the 2nd time we bring Lycia to Genting for Holiday.
Lucky she can sit still in the car with the help of our portable DVD player and her favourite show "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse"

We have decided to spent X'mas at Genting as there is not much places we can bring her around in S'pore.

Lycia quite enjoy her trip and of cos daddy, Mummy and Grandparents as well.. :)
